Let’s Start with a Consultation Call!

A general idea of what is bringing you to therapy, issues you would like to address, and goals you might want to achieve.
If you are looking for weekly or bi-weekly sessions along with your general availability to have regular sessions.
Your insurance type or if you would plan to pay for sessions out-of-pocket.
What to expect during the call
Your therapist will ask you about your therapy goals, symptoms, history, and current situation in order to ensure they would be a good fit in helping you achieve your goals.
If you’ve been in therapy before, your therapist may ask you what has worked before and what didn’t.
Make sure to feel free to ask your therapist any questions you may have about the process as well.
What to expect after the call
If you and your therapist decide that you would be a good therapeutic fit, logistics such as scheduling will be figured out.
Prior to your first session, your therapist will then send you forms for you to fill out in the client portal before beginning.
If your therapist decides they are not the best therapeutic fit, they will explain why and point you in the right direction for help that may be better suited for your needs.
If you need, feel free to take time after the consultation call to make sure you feel good about getting started.

To use out-of-network benefits, you would pay for the session at the private pay rate, then submit a specialized receipt to your insurance, called a superbill, to receive reimbursement for your costs.
Superbills are provided for all clients who request them.
Check with your insurance company to see what your out-of-network benefits are.
Most clients receive these benefits from their insurance plans.
Forms
Prior to your first session, your therapist will send you a link to a secure client portal.
Within this portal, you will find information about the practices privacy policies, how your protected health information is handled, and practice policies.
You will be asked to sign forms including consent forms and be asked to provide demographic information, insurance information, and billing information.
You may be asked to fill out certain screening tools to help your therapist understand your experience and symptoms. Questions regarding your history, goals, and ways you can be supported will also be included in these forms.
Forms will need to be filled out before your first therapy session.
