Supporting Your Healing & Growth

Therapy for those with anxiety, mood disorders, interpersonal struggles, or substance abuse

Are you feeling overwhelmed and exhausted?

Anxiety can keep your mind racing, leaving you feeling like you can never “turn off”.

Mood disorders, like depression can make daily life tasks seem impossible.

These issues often manifest in strained relationships, difficulties at work, and searching for ways to quiet your mind.

Together we can explore these issues, work towards your goals, and find coping skills that fit into your life.

Meet Sarah

I am a licensed clinical counselor in Rockville, MD. Helping others and understanding the intricacies of the human mind has always been a passion for me. This passion has expanded my experience to working in numerous treatment settings with clients requiring various levels of support. I have been able to specialize my clinical skills to deliver effective services that still feel personable. I am delighted to be able to bring this experience into services that are unique to each client.

I understand that therapy is a deeply personal endeavor and I prioritize making you feel heard, seen, and safe. In our work together, I value open communication, partnership, compassion.

“We must never forget that we may also find meaning in life even when confronted with a hopeless situation, when facing a fate that cannot be changed.”

— Viktor. E. Frankl

My Approach

In our sessions together, we will use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to begin to recognize patterns of thoughts that likely are not serving you well. We will examine the impact of these thoughts, triggers for their occurrence, and methods to reframe their meaning.

I also like to incorporate mindfulness techniques to aid you in strengthening the connection with your emotions. Mindfulness also allows us to explore your mind-body connection. I also use techniques to build distress tolerance and build interpersonal effectiveness.

In our sessions, we openly communicate regarding where we should focus and adjust to your needs.

Therapy can help you know yourself more deeply and create the change you desire. I’m here to help guide you on that journey.
